CHOIR MINISTERING WITH JOYFUL SONG

- Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.
Our Choir will be ministering in song in various places this month as they seek to serve our Lord through music. We are so very blessed to have our choir and musicians every week and look forward to them sharing their gifts with sister churches in our area!
Deep Run Free Will Baptist Church—The Church on the Hill will be hosting our choir on October 3rd...Sunday evening.
Albertson Missionary Baptist Church—will be hosting our choir on October 17th...Sunday evening.
Please keep them in your prayers and come support them as they sing of God’s love and power...He deserves our hymns of praise and our choir deserves our support!
WMU Ministry Project
If a picture can say a thousand words you are looking at a novel of emotions—joy, happiness, thanksgiving, and love! The Families sponsored by our WMU this year are Carla and her son, Saquan along with Sarah and her son, Forrest, and daughter, Zoe (children are not pictured). Each Mom shared their appreciation for your demonstrated love to them and their families. Church, your kindness and generosity continue to be a witness of Christ within our community. Thanks to you God’s idea of sharing Christmas has become a reality and a blessing. You did good!
Blood Drive...Thank-You!
Thank-you for all who gave the gift of life during our recent blook drive on August 10th! Each time I give blood I remember the original Life-Giver and how Jesus shed His blood willingly for me—it’s hard to say “no” to giving a pint or two when He gave His all for me!
Thank-you to our high school seniors who sponsored this blood drive and to Miriam Ledford who helped in organizing this event. For those first and second time donors...thank-you; it’s a great habit to have. There are many who will be helped because of your efforts!
Blood Drive...exceeds goal
Thank-you to Abby & Coley Ledford and Phillip Mills for organizing our blood drive (December 2008)...thank-you to all who came to give this gift of life which will be used to help many. A little time and a little blood can make a world of difference for those in need.
While sitting in those “recliners” in our fellowship hall I was reminded of One who gave His blood for us some 2,000 years ago. Thank-you all for following His example!
The Church With A Heart
“The Church With a Heart” is more than just our motto it is an attitude which is demonstrated so freely by you! I continue to be in awe how God uses you to bless others. If I could bottle your love, giving spirit, and compassion thousands of churches would be able to overcome the enemy’s attacks which causes feuds, splits, and even dissolved congregations. Some examples of your Christ-likeness:
· The local family (The Smith's) share their appreciation for our love offering taken up for them—totaling over $800
· Pastor Jeremy Scott was all smiles and praising God for our gift of nearly $1,200 for his church in Grenada
· Valentine’s Banquet raised $1,200 for our Youth Mission Trip this coming summer
Thank-you for demonstrating what Philippians 2:4 is all about!

- Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others (Philippians 2:4)
WMU Project—Making Christmas about Love
Our WMU has again done a wonderful thing—demonstrating what Scripture says...it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35)! Because of your obedience this young family has seen Christ’s love demonstrated in practical and glorious ways.
The giving of goods, toys, clothes, etc. has made this Christmas a very special one for this family in our community. Thank-you for giving and thank-you for sharing!
