Walk of Honor
We are ready to enter the next phase of our Honor and Memory Walk. Sign-up sheets are ready and available for all who wish to take part in this time of recognizing and showing appreciation for the membership of our church.
As a reminder—a donation of $125 per brick can be given In Honor Of or In Memory Of any past or present member of Deep Run First Baptist Church only.
The funds generated above the cost of the bricks will be placed into our building fund. Anyone can purchase these bricks.
It’s hoped each Homecoming Celebration we can recognize those names added to our Walk of Honor
Debt Free!
Our Treasurer, Randy Smith, could not wait to share the good news with me on Friday, January 8…”Pastor Dave, I just wanted you to be the first to know we are now debt free. We just paid off the bank loan for our new addition!”
Hallelujah! God is so very good! This great news was shared during our morning worship time on that following Sunday.
All the thanks and glory goes to God! He has blessed us and enabled us to exceed our goal by four months—we hoped to have this done by Homecoming (May 2010). Thank you, Church, for your giving (many sacrificially)...it’s because of your faithful obedience, sharing God’s blessings, and desire to exemplify Christ that we are debt free and I believe God is pleased!
You’ve done good!
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
The theme “Who’s Missing? Whose Mission?” highlights the need for more people to respond to God’s call to tell the world’s unreached people of Christ’s love. Through the 2009 International Missions Emphasis and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering (LCMO) we will be assisting the 5,563 missionaries serving 1,206 of the world’s estimated 11,626 people groups with prayers and contributions to help them share the love of Christ. One hundred percent of our LCMO, in addition to a portion of the Cooperative Program, supports these missionaries.
The NC offering goal is $16 million. Our church’s goal is $1,200. I believe we can surpass this goal in giving for the cause of Christ...globally. Please give as God has blessed you...give sacrificially for His glory, that His kingdom will grow., and thank-you for being obedient to His call. You are a blessing and you will be blessed!

Thank-you all for your efforts in submitting recipes for our “Heirlooms From the Heart.” Lisa Smith has done a great job in getting all the typing and formatting done—she has received 200 initial cookbooks and once they go we can order more.
They are available for anyone interested for a minimum donation of only $10. the proceeds go to help our future mission teams to fulfill God’s Great Commission of going and telling the world about Jesus, the Christ.
Be sure to get your copies soon and start enjoying the many new dishes, appetizers, desserts, etc. Again, thank-you to all who have helped with this labor of love—God bless you for your serving hearts!
